Alginicacid　　
　　Alginicacid is mainly used in pharmaceutical industry and in water treatment. It is shite or light yellow powder. It has the property of moisture absorption and can dissolve in water and then turn the viscid and dense colloid. The main roles of it are the excipient, bond and depressant of gastric acidity neutralization in the pharmaceutical industry. The products are macromolecule saccharide substance. Because its water solution can become viscid and liquid thing and adhere to the surface of mucous, membrane so as to obviate effect by the exoteric stimulus, it can be used as the fungicide of mucous membrane, confecting drugs as the remedy for stomachache and duodenum ulcer, such as the new drug PSS and Gastropine etc.
　　With the main role applied for the effluent disposal, a compound like high molecular resin can be formed by reaction of calcium salt with soluble salt solution of Alginicacid and phytic acid. Because of its great adsorptive capacity and high resistance against calcium and magnesium ion, the compound has good effect in purifying water and long life of service.
